Hi, I’m Ivie–like Poison Ivy, or English Ivy, or my favorite, Ivy League College! I’m a 20-something woman who loves to read. I especially like dystopian and fantasy stories. If I love a story, I want to tell everyone about it.
I started this blog in 2013 as a way to keep up with some of the books I’ve read and share them with other book lovers. I discovered my passion for reading right after I graduated college. Since I didn’t have to “study” anymore, I found that I had tons of time to actually enjoy books instead of being forced to read them. I generally read about two books a week, but not all of them get reviewed on the site. However, if I’m sent a book, it will be reviewed on this site. You can check out my Goodreads page for books that I have rated but not reviewed. I think that there’s nothing better than to curl up with a good book and escape into a new world.
I currently reside in Birmingham, AL with my husband and two cats. I have a full time job and update this blog in my free time.
If you want to submit a book for review, please read the Review Policy for all relevant information. Please note that I choose not to rate books on my blog, but to give feedback about them. (I do post reviews on sites that ask for ratings like Goodreads and Amazon. It's on those sites that you can see how many stars I'd give a particular book.) Authors put a lot of time and effort into their works and I don't want readers to not select a book because I gave it a 2 or 3 star rating. I will tell you what's good, and what I didn't care for in a book. It's then up to readers to decide if they want to pick it up.
